Thanks! (06/22/10)
~Haven't had anything new to put on this page for a
while... I'm auctioning off some of my old fabrics and will be putting up new prints every once in a while. If you
are interested in my fabric auctions e-mail me. Look for my e-mail under 'Contact' at the top of this page.
(05/07/10)
~Five new knits uploaded and one old knit back in-
stock for custom orders only. Check them out here: knit prints Thanks! (12/16/09)
~Cotton velour colors for custom orders are back in
stock plus a couple of new colors! (12/11/09)
~ I'm getting a lot of new cotton velour fabric colors
listed in a few days!!! And also stocking diapers with winter print outer fabrics through out December. Always
check the 'Auctions' link at the top of the page for misc. interesting little things listed for auction on my e-bay.
Thanks! (12/05/09)
~ I just listed a few more knit fabric prints for
custom orders. I separated knits and wovens into two different pages so knit prints are easier to find. Before
they were listed at the bottom of wovens. There will be more new prints in September or October. : )
(08/25/09)
~ I spent last night and this morning switching to a
cart system and am happy to say that I was able to do it this time so that it works. Last time I tried I couldn't
get it to work properly. So now you can buy more than one item at a time, put them in a cart and pay for them
together with the correct shipping added on. : ) (06/13/09)
~ For custom orders there are a few more new
fabrics that I will be putting up within the next few weeks. I also now have some of my fabrics for sale under
'Shop Fabrics' in case anyone wants to have a matching outfit or blanket made for their baby's diaper or cover!
For fleece covers I'll have more windpro soon but there is still some 200 wt. and 300 wt. fleeces left. After these
are gone, I won't be getting anything for the outer of fleece covers except light weight windpro fleece. For
instock I've been putting something up every few days or so when I don't have custom orders to work on and I
will continue this way instead of having a set stocking date with a lot of items. That's it for now. (06/04/09)
~ I got microfleece! Plus a few new fabrics. But I
have no idea when I'll stock next... (04/30/09)
~ Well... I ended up stocking much less this month
and working on other things instead. At the bottom of the store page I am putting up extra fabrics for sale! They
are listed after the custom orders. (04/18/09)
~ This month there will be new in stock once or
twice a week. I'll
have a few new prints (knit, woven & flannel too) before the end of Spring. I'm hoping to have new microfleece
colors by
Summer... (04/02/09)
~ I'm going back to using different colored
snaps/thread for fitted
diapers (and PUL covers, fleece covers, AIOs etc..) Metallic gold was great because it matched everything and
looked great in
my opinion, kind of like some buttons or snaps on jeans. Now the metallic gold color is no longer available for
children's
clothing/diapers. Using all ivory or brown snaps gets boring so I'm going to just use what ever color matches the
fabric best.
If nothing else matches then I'll use ivory or brown depending on whether the fabric print has light or dark colors
in it. If
more than one color matches pretty well, then I'll ask who ever is buying the diaper/cover which color they'd like
best.
(03/22/09)
~ I'm going to start selling a little bit of fabric on the
side.
Soon there will be another few links on the 'Shop' page, one for fabrics, one for kids clothes and another for
mommy things
just to get things categorized instead of all on one page. (03/22/09)
~ I'll be stocking one or two things
each day this month. : ) (03/04/09)
~ Next stocking will be in March. I'll
have new fabrics too next month. (02/20/09)
~ Because of the new laws regarding
children's products I can't use anymore fabric, thread or snaps that have a metallic color, so I'm
making a few changes... 1. I'm switching to either Ivory or Brown thread and snaps only
(depending on which matches the diaper or cover fabric better) instead of the metallic gold ones.
2. I'm switching to my new labels since the old ones have that metallic shine. 3. I'm removing a
few fabric prints that have metallic dye in them. Everything else is safe. : ) (02/10/09)
~ Well now custom orders have slowed
down so i did put a few diapers and covers up after all. Next time i stock will be sometime before
the end of february. (01/26/09)
~ the only new thing right now is that
i'll be switching to new labels soon. they are woven and are not supposed to fade at all unlike my
current ones. so as soon as i run out of what i have of the old ones i'll switch to the new kind.
they look much better too i think. another thing is that i'm going to skip my january stocking and
stock next in february instead since i've been sewing for customs more lately than for in-stock.
(01/18/09)
~ I decided I'll be stocking before
the end of this month just because I have so many less custom orders right now and more time to
sew for in -stock. But I'll still do another one in January sometime. Probably near the end of the
month. So by tomorrow or the day after there will be some organic, regular hand-dyed and other
fitteds, some wipes and a few hand drawn/hand painted PUL covers. I don't know yet what I'll
be doing for the January stocking. Thanks! (11/26/08)
~ I don't have any more fabric coming
right now but I'm planning to stock again sometime in January. I'll have some print outer fitted
diapers and some hand-drawn, hand-dyed PUL covers. I love doing that kind of art. I'll also have
some more wipes listed. I can't give exact date since I never make deadlines for stockings but it
will be in January. : ) (11/19/08)
~ I finally had my court date a couple
of days ago and my divorce is final. My name has changed back to Azadeh Haghighat from
Fullmer. But that will most likely change too because I found out I was adopted recently and the
family who raised me never treated me well... They still won't admit I'm adopted. I did a genetics
test and it came out 91% endo-european and does not include iranian which is what they are.
Anyway I remembered when I was adopted when I was 3 years old. My real first name from
before I was adopted was Violet! That's proof enough for me. I'll be taking a more detailed test
later... (11/19/08)
~ i am switching internet providers and
won't be on-line again until tuesday sometime. if anyone buys in-stock please expect your items
shipped on wednesday and those who order customs won't hear back from me until wednesday
but the turn around time is still two weeks or less. the pul prints and new wovens have arrived and
will be added by thursday.(10/23/08)
~ new pul prints were just added
today. i'm hoping to have more woven prints added within a week or two. (10/23/08)
~ i'm stocking in a few days and
putting up a few new fabrics too. both knits and wovens. (10/10/08)
~ i have just realized that I have been
using two different kinds of hemp organic cotton french terry. when i first tried a new hemp
place, i did notice that it was much softer but didn't really think about it again. i've been using
one or the other depending on which got here faster. one is more expensive and i've been using it
only when i've been out of the cheaper one which ships very slowly most of the time. i have just
realized that the more expensive one doesn't get stiff over time like the other hemp sometimes
does. so, here is my new decision: since i can't afford to buy all of my hemp from the more
expensive place, i'll use both kinds in all my hemp diapers. using one layer of the cheaper hemp
seems to help, so i'll use one layer of the less expensive one in the body and one in the soaker for
quick-dry diapers (but only one in the body for regular-dry diapers.) for the rest of the layers i'll
use the softer more expensive hemp. they are both called hemp organic cotton french terry. hemp
organic cotton french terry is what i use as the hidden absorbent fabric for all non-organic
diapers. for organic diapers i use organic cotton fleece as the hidden absorbent material.
(09/28/08)
~ good news! i have most of my prints.
the missing box was a small one. much fewer fabrics than i thought are missing along with other
small things. i am relieved and happy, and will be putting everything back up again monday. well
everything but pul covers and aios since i'm out of fold-over elastic right now. (09/14/08)
~ i moved but two problems came up.
the major one is that one box of cotton prints is missing. i am pretty sure it's gone but i'll call the
moving company on monday since they are closed until them to see what can be done. the other
one is that the table i cut and sewed on didn't fit through the door of my new apartment so i had
to leave it behind. i'm going to take a little while longer before i open the store. thanks for
waiting! - Violet Azadeh (09/13/08)
